Key Accountabilities • Controls and Programming development and de-bug o Develop robotic and controls programs to accomplish sequence of operations for custom robotic cells o Troubleshoot and de-bug existing or new machines and robotic cells o Interface a variety of products to robotic or controls platforms including: ? Human Machine Interfaces ? Distributed I/O ? Motion Control Systems o Demonstrate system performance matching run-off criteria for customers • Electrical Design o Develop electrical point to point drawings for complex systems o Develop and review bill of materials for completeness o Research commercial items, specify components. Education/Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred along with 3-5 years experience in robotic programming; an Associate’s degree may be acceptable with equivalent hands on industrial experience. Experience with Staubli robots is a plus. • Other desired characteristics include experience working with controls, HMI, distributed I/O, motion control, hands-on assembly experience, and familiarity with wiring codes including NEMA, UL, NFPA 79 and GMP. Mechanical design aptitude and experience is a plus. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities • Advanced level knowledge of robotic programming language (Staubli VAL 3 is preferred) • Intermediate level skill in MS Word and Excel • Advanced level ability to use AutoCAD or related electrical layout software tools
